Lagoon Hospitals opens new frontier in healthcare , inaugurates modern Primary Healthcare Complex.

 LAGOS, NIGERIA – February 6, 2014 - In a pioneering move Lagoon Hospitals has inaugurated a state-of-the art Primary healthcare Outpatient  Complex on its Apapa premises.

The complex was commissioned by the founders of Hygeia Group, Prof. Mr. Adeyemo Elebute and Prof. Mrs. Oyinade Elebute. Also present at the commissioning are the Chairman of Hygeia Group, Mrs. Fola Laoye, the Group Clinical Adviser, Dr. Jimmy Coker, the Medical Directors of Lagoon Hospital Apapa, Ikeja and Victoria, Dr. Mowa Falase, Dr. Jide Ojo and Dr. Banjo Kale respectively.

Speaking at the official commissioning of the complex, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Lagoon Hospitals, Dr. Naseem Mohammed said  "As the demand for quality healthcare continues to grow, Lagoon Hospitals is always looking at ways to best meet the needs of patients.  The Primary Healthcare Department is a unique concept that is devoted to the first level of care for patients.  With these new facilities patients will receive extremely efficient and cost-effective care.  Services available in this department include adult and children’s general out-patient services, wound dressing, Immunization clinics, laboratory services, pre-employment and other selective screening examinations".

Also commenting on this development, the Chairman of Hygeia Nigeria Limited, Mrs. Fola Laoye stated, "We will continue our pioneering work in Healthcare Delivery in Nigeria.
